Michelle Blades has worked for the first time on a film score, for « Las Hijas » the first feature film by director Kattia G. Zúñiga. An instant connection and familiarity quickly settled in between the two artists, both Panamanians who had spent most of their lives far from Panama.
The beautiful tracks composed by Michelle Blades « Un ride en PTY », « Cementerio de los aviones », « La Luna en meditación » and « Sexo y celos » (for reggaeton lovers!), follow the sisters Marina and Luna travelling from Costa Rica to Panama in search of their absent father. While dealing with the tensions that arise between them, they find space to explore their desires, new friendships, loves and skateboarding. An intimate and tender tale of two sisters' relationship in the urban tropics, with a profound depiction of the colorful life of adolescence.
"Las Hijas" had theatrical releases in Panama, Chile and Costa Rica. We hope you'll be able to discover it close to you soon.
Thank you Antoine Richard for the mastering
And thank you Sorya, Victor, Alejo, Kattia, Morgane & Adele
Glowing melodic synth sequences meet jagged noise and other industrial textures on this new LP by soundtrack composer René G. Boscio. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 13, 2020
As you might guess from the title, this is strange and eerie synth music meant to conjure a mystical film where all is not what it seems. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 14, 2023
